The quietest bus of the week

With the calmest, quietest bus of the week, we wend our way back to Harewood. Happy but tired from our adventures! 

Don't be fooled, it's still noisy!

For such a tiny museum there was a lot of fan things to see- we were also thrilled that it was inside as the rain had just made an appearence

The teams were primed and ready to set tricky trails for each other. The stake were ... Well moderately low (it was biscuits) but the competitive spirit was in full flow. 

And on the opposing side...

Both teams were wreathed in glory and happy biscuit munching voices abounded

Clay workshop

With cake and hot chocolate in hand we began a calmer session of clay work. Some people chose to create things they saw at the museum today and others went right into imagination mode. 

With a little work on our technique and some refinements to the design, we soon had some really lovely work going on

The riddle quiz begins

Who will pit their wits against the fiendish riddles and triumph to win...... A book title of their choice

Crab fishermen extraordinaire!!

Mrs Lockwood kindly defrosted the squid ... Always a good start to an adventure

What our fishermen lack in professionalism, they make up for in outdoorsy style and enthusiasm

We mixed bacon with squid and upped the ante, but did we catch any crabs I hear you cry....

The crabs (or we suspect one adrenaline junky crab) began to bite

Luckily we brought our very own crab wrangler! 

And so, filled with crab catching triumph, we are heading back to Cober Hill for well earned hot chocolates!

After a hard mornings building and tracking we let off some steam in the park. 

This is a very deceptive wobbly log- more than one child and headteacher fell less than gracefully to the springy floor!

We tested our strength- impressively some people went across and back before dropping to the floor

The challenge of the swing  bridge was no match for Harewood skills!

For some though, the park was time for a well earned rest....
